Every brand seems to have #mesquite #bbq flavored #chips these days… and I’m not complaining! Rating: 8/10. Bought on #Oahu, #Hawaii. #lays #chips #junkfood #kettlecooked
#RoastedGarlic & #SeaSalt-flavored #kettlecooked #latticecut #potatochips by #Lays have a pretty long name, but are SO damn amazing. Perfect on their own, but I wanted them with a #ranchdip and #salmon #Philadelphia as a quick, healthy #dinner. ? Rating: 9/10. Bought in #Honolulu, #USA. ??? #crisps #junkfood #ranch #dip #chips
I waited so long and was sooooooooooooo excited to finally get to try these! Once I got to North America a while ago, I was finally able to fulfill my dream. To be completely honest, I expected a bit more from the product. I had the chips twice, but haven’t changed my mind.
The company’s take on the popular sweet & salty concept is a little bit meh. I loved the smokiness, but the sweetness was too strong for my potato chip tastes. They reminded me of Honey BBQ flavor. I prefer the latter, to be honest. I don’t really have that sweet tooth, you know? More bacon and less maple, please! I wonder how other brands succeeded in imitating the flavor of this classic, yet very risky combination…
Overall, it’s still a snack worth both trying and writing about. The famous crunch and thick cut of the Kettle brand never disappoints and is still one the best ones throughout the entire potato chip scene.

The packaging doesn’t lie – they sure are salty and spicy. Very fucking salty, actually. They’re insane!
Are these the saltiest potato chips in the world? They possibly are! I’m really into salt and I liked the seasoning a lot, but even a salt lover like myself had to take a break after every 5 chips. My husband could only handle two at a time. On the good side, the mild crabby flavor was yum and not too fishy (my partner in crime couldn’t taste it though because of all the salt). The kettle cooked potato chip was perfectly crunchy.
All in all, if you’re into salty foods, just be brave and give them a try. Only consume with beer.

I’m becoming a bit obsessed with Lattice Cut chips by Lay’s. I love the fact that they have enough flavor to eat them on their own, but at the same time, thanks to this clever cut, they’re also perfect for dipping. Some are slightly better than others though. So far, my favorite flavor from the line is Roasted Garlic & Sea Salt. The ones I’m about to review are not as exciting as their garlicky relatives, but are still on the pretty impressive side.
The cheesy part of Aged Cheddar & Black Pepper seasoning is addictive and it’s pretty interesting to have it with all the black pepper. The black pepper flavor is very strong. I’m not sure if the chips need so much of it. Anyhow, that’s the part that only makes them even more fascinating. I think I would prefer a different type of pepper in this combo though. Possibly jalapeño, whereas black pepper would probably work better with some sort of white cheese.
I still really enjoyed eating them and my partner in crime loved them too.

At first, you’re hit with a mild kick of spiciness… But then, out of the blue, comes the Bleu! To be honest, I wasn’t sure what to expect. In a blind test I would fail. My guess would probably be ‘Smoky BBQ’ or an interesting (weird) version of ‘Sweet Chili’. The chips still taste great though and that’s all that matters. They’re also super thick and crunchy which makes them perfect for dipping. Well done as always, Kettle.
